Vice-President, Marketing and Communications
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Vice-President of Marketing and Communications to lead our marketing and communications team. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and a creative problem solver with exceptional communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing all internal and external communications and marketing initiatives, including developing marketing materials, managing social media channels, creating content and websites, managing Advisor and employee communications, and ensuring that our branding and messaging is consistent across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy and plan that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives and delivers an Advisor experience that makes PPI indispensable to them.
Manage all communication and marketing activities, including Advisor communications, social media, media relations, website content, email marketing campaigns, and other marketing channels.
Manage all employee communications to support PPI’s Talent and Culture area, including Recognition Program, ESG, D&I, charitable giving and sponsorship initiatives, and all other culture-related initiatives.
Analyze and report on key marketing and communication metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions to optimize our marketing and communication efforts.
Build and manage a team of marketing professionals to ensure that the organization's marketing and communications efforts are executed effectively and efficiently.
Develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive leads, Advisor (and their clients, where applicable) engagement, and brand awareness.
Create compelling, compliant content for our website, social media channels, and other marketing materials to effectively reach and engage with our target audiences.
Work with senior management on strategic and Board presentations for content and design
Work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure that marketing and communication strategies are aligned with business objectives and priorities, and that team projects bridge messaging, design, and technology areas for maximum impact.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field
10+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing and communication strategies – project management skills
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with a keen focus on detail and accuracy
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve results
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
Strong understanding of best practices in marketing, communication, and digital media
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Adept at managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Experience in insurance, financial services or similar industry
Bilingualism (English and French) an asset
