We pioneered the development of new consumer-responsive life and health insurance products and innovative financial planning applications to help consumers manage their personal financial risks in a comprehensive, flexible and dynamic way.

PPI was instrumental in founding the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting, "CALU", in 1991. Jim Burton spearheaded the efforts to create a professional organization which would represent the interests of specialized financial advisors to various legislative and policy-making bodies as well as strengthen relationships with members of other related professional communities. He was elected as the founding Chairman and served in that role until 1994. Jim remains actively involved as an honorary board member.

Several key PPI executives continue to work on furthering the integrity and future of the insurance industry through on-going corporate support and involvement, working closely with industry and government partners on a variety of national advocacy and industry issues.
